Corrections, disputes and removals

Ipoh Cafe Guide is an independent directory of cafes in Ipoh. We build listings from publicly available business information and score each cafe by analyzing Google reviews against a single, published rubric that applies equally to every business. Your listing appears here free of charge. No payment affects your score or ranking position. This page explains how to correct factual information, challenge a score, or request removal. Corrections to factual fields

We update name, address, phone number, website, opening hours, and services when you provide the correct detail along with something we can verify it against, such as your website or your Google Business Profile. Once applied, a correction stays in place through future data refreshes. Send us the field that needs fixing, the correct value, and the source where we can confirm it.

Disputes over scores

Scores are computed from public Google reviews using our fixed rubric and are never hand-edited. A dispute is a claim that the input data is wrong, for example your listing is matched to the wrong business, reviews are attributed to you incorrectly, or a review summary misrepresents what the reviewers actually wrote. We re-check the sources and regenerate your listing. A dispute is not a request for a higher number.

Removals and closures

We remove listings for permanently closed businesses, duplicates, and cafes outside our scope. Our verification cycle runs monthly and automatically catches closures. If your business is open, in scope, and the information is accurate, we may decline removal. You will get a clear answer explaining why.

Response times

Every request is acknowledged within 5 business days. Confirmed removals are processed within 7 days. Declined requests come with a reason.
